Commercial and Residential Roofing Services

Property is a major investment, whether it’s your home or your business. Any structural issues should be dealt with immediately, and that includes roofing problems.
Have you noticed problems like leaks or cracks in the upper ceilings of your home or business? If you have, there’s a good chance your roof needs some attention.
In Upstate NY and Northern PA, the changing seasons are beautiful, but they’re also hard on your roof. Between the hot summer sun and the cold winter storms, the roofs in our area take a beating all year long.
However, sometimes just the passage of time can lead to roofing materials that break down and need to be replaced either wholly or just partially.
It’s a good idea to inspect your roof once a year to check for damage. This is something you can do yourself, or you can also contact K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters to schedule an inspection. We’ll be happy to provide you with an estimate if we find any issues that need attention.
K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters can completely revitalize your roof if it needs to be replaced. Or, we can replace single shingles that have become damaged due to harsh weather.

Our customers’ tastes in roofing materials vary widely, which is why we offer so many options. We’re pros at installing:
Shingled roofs
Rubber roofs
Metal roofs
Rolled roofs

If you’re not sure what type of roof is right for your needs, we’re happy to offer you our expertise.
Best of all, our customers appreciate that we only use the best materials on the market for our roofing jobs. We stick with top-of-the-line brands to ensure your roof will continue to protect your home or business for years to come.

Seamless Gutter Installation

Traditional gutters are problematic in many ways. The seams tend to come apart and leak, which means they’re not diverting water away from your property like they’re supposed to.
Not only that but when you have a traditional gutter system, it’s important to clean them out at least twice a year. Otherwise, leaves, dirt, and debris will get stuck in them. This makes it impossible for them to protect your property from water damage at the foundation.
Unfortunately, many homeowners forget about cleaning their gutters until they’re dealing with basement leaks caused by poorly diverted water or clogged gutters.
This is why we highly recommend seamless gutter installation for all of our residential and commercial customers.
Seamless gutters never leak because there are no seams that could result in disconnected pieces. Instead, each gutter is made of one continuous piece of metal.
Your new seamless gutters are custom-made to fit your property precisely. We have a machine we bring on-site to ensure we get the right fit every time.

Leaf Guard Installation

A lot of homeowners would rather not have to worry about cleaning their gutters at all. If that’s you, it’s a good idea to consider installing leaf guards.
At K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters, we are certified to install LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards. This is an incredible product that is guaranteed to give you your weekends back without having to worry about cleaning your gutters.
Not only do LeafBlaster Pro gutter covers prevent leaves from falling into your gutters, but they also keep out:
Pine needles
Grit from your roof
Animals, like birds and squirrels

LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards are made with a stainless steel micro-mesh material that prevents even the smallest particles of debris from getting through. The wind just blows that debris away.
LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards also:
Won’t warp or rust.
Have a front trough to encourage water to fall into the gutter rather than leaking off the side.

Snow Stops & Snow Mitigation

Like it or not, winter comes around every year in the Twin Tiers. We’re usually fortunate to only have a few really bad snowstorms per season, but some years the snow never seems to quit.
Either way, when snow piles up on your roof – like it’s prone to do in our area – it can become hazardous, or even fatal in some cases.
At K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters, we highly recommend snow stops as a form of snow mitigation for homes in Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania.
The last thing you want as a property owner is to have a snow avalanche. Snow avalanches occur when the sun warms up the snow on your roof after a substantial amount has fallen. As the day goes on, the cohesive bond at the roof’s peak starts to break down with continued warmth from the sun’s rays.
Once that cohesive bond is broken, the gutters aren’t strong enough to hold the snow in place and a snow avalanche takes place.
There have been many instances of children or even adults getting buried in snow after one of these incidents.
Installing snow stops on your roof is the best way to protect the people you love as well as others who frequently come to your home, like your mail carrier or friends.
We recommend snow stops for all roof types. We’ll talk with you about the best snow mitigation options for your roof based on its type, slope, and several other factors.

Siding, Soffit, and Fascia Installation and Replacement

Today, many homeowners and business owners choose to install siding on the exterior of their properties. Siding is an attractive option that’s easy to care for and simple to replace. It tends to last a long time, even in our area where severe weather is often a factor.
But as time passes, your property’s siding undergoes a lot of wear and tear. Storms can tear pieces of siding off your home and expose the area under it to the elements.

Some signs that indicate it’s time to replace your siding include:

An increase in your energy bills
It’s warping or rotting
You’re noticing cracks in your siding
You’re finding mold or fungus inside or outside your home
The paint on the inside of your home is peeling
The color of your siding has faded
Your siding is bubbling

At K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters, we talk with a lot of customers who aren’t sure if they only need some of their siding replaced or if they need it all replaced. Either way, we’re happy to come and inspect your property’s siding and provide you with an estimate.
And while we’re there, we’ll carefully and thoroughly inspect the soffit and fascia as well.
Soffit refers to the underside of a building’s eaves, and when it gets damaged, it leaves a perfect opportunity for pests to enter and build nests or do structural damage.
Your property’s fascia is a part of the roof’s structure. Its job is to protect the interior roof cavity from water damage. It also helps to support the weight of your gutters and downspouts.
It’s not uncommon for soffit and fascia to need replacing after a storm, and if you’re redoing the siding on your home or office, that should include soffit and fascia replacement too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I still need to clean out my new seamless gutters?

It’s always a good idea to check your seamless gutters at least twice a year (once in the fall and once in the spring) to see if there is any debris that needs to be cleaned out. Birds love to build their nests in gutters, and twigs can easily get jammed in there too.
If you’d rather not clean your gutters a few times each year, it’s best to consider gutter guards, which keep out all of the above debris and pests.

Do you do gutter repairs or cleaning?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer repair or cleaning services for your existing gutters and we also do not rehang gutters. We only do new installs of our custom-made seamless gutters.
However, please don’t let that deter you from giving us a call! Our seamless gutters are made from one durable piece of .032 gauge aluminum, so they’re built to last.

How long does a new installation take?

The timeframe for new installation varies based on the type and size of the project. Most of our new installation projects only take between 4-6 hours.
Once we give you your estimate, we’ll also give you an expected timeframe so you’ll know exactly how long we’ll be working. But don’t worry because we pride ourselves on our efficient work.

How long will it take to get started on my project?

In our opinion, nothing is worse than planning a home improvement or commercial construction project only to get the estimate and get scheduled for a date that’s months away. We know how that feels, which is why it’s always our goal to get you on our calendar as soon as possible.
Most of our customers are scheduled within 2 weeks from the date they receive their estimates. Quite often, we can complete projects even faster than that because our team is so efficient.

Do I need to give you a down payment?

Many contractors require a down payment before starting the work, but that’s not the case with K & K Roofing and Seamless Gutters. We want to ensure 100% customer satisfaction before we receive any type of payment.
Once we’re done, and you’re thrilled with our work, your payment will become due. We accept cash and checks.

What happens to the old roofing and gutter materials?

Unless you have other plans for your old materials, we’ll make sure they’re properly disposed of. In fact, we’ll leave your property looking better than it was when we started working. That’s just a part of what sets us apart.
